About

Philip CoetzeeMeet Philip

After many years as a zoologist, specializing in marine biology, the sea and outdoor environment naturally has a great influence in my art. Painting primarily in oils, I’ve been excited to be introduced to the vibrant colour pigments of the Colour Passion range by resin artist Jennifer Cruden. This has led experimenting with pigments and finding ways to incorporate the powders, especially the metalic pigments in my paintings, whether oil or in combination with cold wax.

For resin techniques, I can fortunately rely on the expertise of Jennifer Cruden, a successful full time artist and resin painting tutor.

The choice of using Colour Passion pigment powders and pastes becomes obvious when you see and first use them. They are vibrant in colour and I especially love metallics or pigments with a shimmer. There are so many creative ways of using these incredible pigment powders in art.

For Epoxy Resin we have turned to Eli Chem, a well established company with tested products and expertise. Their Epoxy Resins are clear, VOC free and they have an extensive range that can be used for art, covering canvasses or casting.
